“Costume Magic” presents a runway of 1940s fashion, as historic photographs from the Eastern Shore come alive before your very eyes!
This event was hosted at Memory Lane Heritage Village on August 9th & 10th, 2025 as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations.
Costumes will be on display as part of the Memory Lane Fibre Arts Festival on Saturday, October 18th, 2025.
An Eastern Shore fashion runway with a twist! Lifesize projections of vintage photos came alive, as living models walk out of the pictures wearing recreated outfits cut, sewn, and knitted by talented volunteers of the Heritage Village’s costume department (often without the use of existing patterns.)
This video has been created with photos from this unique fashion gala that presents a line-up of carefully researched and newly created apparel, which will remain with the Heritage Village’s costume department after the gala. All the fashion models are regular volunteers with the Heritage Village and range in age from 12 to 80+. Local Eastern Shore residents may spot a few of their ancestors, who certainly had an eye for fashion, even during the wartime years.

Eastern Shore Players Presents a Heritage Variety Show

This auditioned heritage variety show will feature a wide range of the Eastern Shore’s musical and theatrical talent, coming together in a heritage-themed fundraiser in support of the Village Champions Fundraising Campaign.
