Cookhouse Chow (Hot or Cold Plate) is available to visitors, locals, and travellers alike, with no museum admission necessary.
Adults: $18.00 per person
Children: $9.00 (age 12 and under)
Cookhouse Chow is served "lumberjack style" from the kitchen in the 80 seat replica Cookhouse.
Cookhouse meal tickets are purchased in the Hosking Store. You will present them to the Cook (or Cookie) when you enter the Cookhouse and then the Cook will serve you your meal.

COOKHOUSE CHOW ($18) - includes baked beans or fresh daily soup made from scratch, homemade brown bread and your choice of sandwich (ham & cheese, grilled cheese, veggie or egg salad), gingerbread with rhubarb sauce for dessert, plus fresh lemonade or ice tea, and your choice of tea or coffee.
COLD PLATE ($18) - includes a ham & salad plate (potato salad or macaroni salad) with hard-boiled egg, veggie sticks and pickles, homemade brown bread plus fresh lemonade or ice tea, and your choice of tea or coffee.
HALF CHOW ($14) includes baked beans OR fresh daily soup made from scratch OR your choice of sandwich, gingerbread with rhubarb sauce for dessert, plus fresh lemonade or ice tea, and your choice of tea or coffee.
CHILD CHOW ($9) for children age 6 to 12 years.
TINY CHOW ($5) for children age 5 years and under.
SNACK ($6) - Two slices of homemade gingerbread with rhubarb sauce and one hot or cold beverage
PICNIC LUNCH ($18) - A hearty sandwich on homemade brown or white bread (ham & cheese, grilled cheese, veggie or egg salad), veggie sticks, an apple, two slices of gingerbread and a mason jar of lemonade. All packed in a paper bag, ready for you to take away with you to the beach!
CHILD'S PICNIC LUNCH ($9) - A half sandwich (on white or whole wheat), veggie sticks, an apple, a cookie plus a small mason jar of lemonade (or bottle of pop, upon request)
Reduced prices are available when purchasing a general admission to Memory Lane Heritage Village and a Cookhouse Chow meal at the same time.

By prior arrangement, traditional meals from the 1940s can be prepared for groups of 15 or more (maximum 85). The specific menu for the group is by prior arrangement, popular options include Corned Beef and Cabbage, Seafood Chowder, Hodgepodge, Fishcakes and Beans, all served with vegetables, beverage and dessert. Traditional meals on their own average $23 per person (meal only) or $28 per person including a self-guided tour of Memory Lane.
Dinners are often by reservation only, made no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the event. A pay bar opens at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds are used to support the work of the Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society. If you are unable to honor a reservation, please let us know as far in advance as possible, or preferably, arrange to have someone take your place.
