EASTERN SHORE COLD WATERS SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
Memory Lane Heritage Village
Holy Mackerel! Get ready to 'fill yer boots' on Nova Scotia's scenic Eastern Shore at the Cold Waters Seafood Festival!
Come downeast for great eats, live music, and family fun. Located on the grounds of Memory Lane Heritage Village in Lake Charlotte, less than an hour from Halifax.
Our Eastern Shore culture is anchored in the coves, harbours, and inlets that form the wild shores where we live. These cold, clear waters yield some of the best seafood in the province, and we celebrate that coastal connection in a big way! Whether you're looking for contemporary dishes, simple steamed shellfish, or tried and true traditional favourites, there's something for everyone at the Cold Waters Seafood Festival. Join in the family activities and skills demonstrations such as paint-your-own-buoy and dory rides.
We'll be diving in, rain or shine, so if it's wet just grab your Eastern Shore dancing shoes (aka rubber boots) come on down!
Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.

A Waste Free Festival
The Heritage Society and Memory Lane are committed to keeping all of our events as waste-free as possible, including the Cold Waters Seafood Festival. We minimize our festival footprint by providing re-usable dishes to vendors, composting food waste at a local farm, sorting remaining garbage and recyclables before being sent to municiple waste facilties, and electricity consumption is offset by the Memory Lane Heritage Village Solar Array.
Health & Safety
Here's what we're doing to keep you safe...
The Cold Waters Seafood Festival is an outdoor event. Festival attendees will enter and exit through the main gate of the Heritage Village or through the Hosking General Store. We have expanded our covered outdoor seating options, with plenty of distance between tables. Many hand-wash stations will be set up around the festival grounds.
