Cookhouse meals and snacks are available between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on days the museum is open unless otherwise stated due to a special event.
All food is prepared in the Cookhouse.
Purchase your tickets in the Hosking Store.
You will present them to the Cook (or Cookie) when you enter the Cookhouse and they will plate your meal for you, pour your beverages, etc.

COOKHOUSE CHOW - includes baked beans or fresh daily soup made from scratch, homemade brown bread and your choice of sandwich (ham & cheese, grilled cheese, veggie or egg salad), gingerbread with rhubarb sauce for dessert, plus fresh lemonade and your choice of tea or coffee. -$14 for adults and $8 for children
COLD PLATE - includes a ham & salad plate (potato salad or macaroni salad) with hard-boiled egg, veggie sticks and pickles, homemade brown bread plus fresh lemonade and your choice of tea or coffee. -$14 for adults and $8 for children
"TINY CHOW" for children 5 years and under - $5 (A small selection of whatever you think your child will eat!)
SNACK - Two slices of homemade gingerbread with rhubarb sauce and one hot or cold beverage - $4.50
PICNIC LUNCH - A hearty sandwich on homemade brown or white bread (ham & cheese, grilled cheese, veggie or egg salad), veggie sticks, an apple, two slices of gingerbread and a mason jar of lemonade. All packed in a paper bag, ready for you to enjoy inside or out (at one of our picnic tables) or perfect to take with you to the beach! -$12
CHILD'S PICNIC LUNCH - A half sandwich (on white or whole wheat), veggie sticks, an apple, a cookie plus a small mason jar of lemonade (or bottle of pop, upon request) -$8
Reduced prices are available when purchasing a regular admission to Memory Lane and a Cookhouse Chow meal at the same time.

By prior arrangement, traditional meals from the 1940s can be prepared for groups of 15 or more (maximum 85). The specific menu for the group is by prior arrangement, popular options include Corned Beef and Cabbage, Seafood Chowder, Hodgepodge, Fishcakes and Beans, all served with vegetables, beverage and dessert. Traditional meals on their own average $17 per head (meal only) or $20 per head including a self-guided tour of Memory Lane.
Dinners are by reservation only, made no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the event. A pay bar opens at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds are used to support the work of the Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society. If you are unable to honor a reservation, please let us know as far in advance as possible, or preferably, arrange to have someone take your place. PLEASE NOTE: Most Heritage Dinners are on hold until after the pandemic.
